This Ryobi petrol strimmer features a centrifugal clutch for ease of starting and added safety. When you pull the engine over the centrifugal does not allow the drive shaft & cutting head to turn, this makes the engine easier to pull over, also the clutch stops the head turn on low engine revs making for a safe system.
